Strategies for moving companies to the cloud
There are many typical strategies for moving to the cloud from well-known vendors. Cloud moving strategies in the form of ready-made instructions from companies such as Microsoft, Antares solutions, Accenture and many others, will help to understand the difficulties of cloud migration and complete the long-awaited transition.
For companies that are just starting the transition, the most convenient and simple solution for building a unified information office system would be a transition directly to cloud technologies. In particular, when deploying a virtual office in the cloud, the company gets rid of the need to purchase expensive server hardware, as well as the configuration and installation of complex software.
As a result of the deployment of a cloud office, new geographically distributed business organizations are able to more flexibly use the cloud applications that are currently needed, responding to current business needs.
As we already told, building a cloud office from scratch, as practice shows, most often occurs on the basis of two cloud computing models: IaaS and SaaS.
In the case of using IaaS to build a cloud office, virtual desktop technology is often used. The main advantage of VDI is the ability to use non-standard software, which is absent in ready-made SaaS solutions. For example, we can provide our customers with the services of a virtual cloud server based on VDS / VPS technology.
Companies that do not require special non-standard applications can implement a cloud office based on ready-made SaaS services. A striking example here can serve as software platforms: Google suite, Office 365 and others, where, using a single account, the client receives office, email, communication, calendar planning and other useful cloud applications in a single package.
One of the most promising areas in the field of cloud services is multi-cloud technology. The multi-cloud concept is an integrated infrastructure based on several cloud providers. This technology provides the greatest availability and scalability, and also provides an opportunity to place the system as close as possible to the user.
Often, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses are starting to use free versions of cloud office applications or participate in trial testing of paid versions. For further decision on the choice of supplier, technical support, guarantees of confidentiality of information and availability of the service, as well as the reliability and reputation of the provider, are of great importance.
