Data Centers are preparing to help with digital transformation

Digital transformation and favorable macroeconomic conditions give a good impetus to information technology vendors. World IT spending is growing because of many factors that overlap each other, such as economic growth, consumer attention to their health, tax cuts and regulatory abolition. IT Directors General Directors add to this digital transformation. It is noted that because of different reasons companies are not ready to transfer all their systems to the public cloud today, they will have to use hybrid configurations. Along with the private clouds deployed on the customer's site, so-called "cloud at customer" is gaining popularity, when the vendor creates for its own money a software and hardware configuration of a private cloud on the customer's site, the operation of which is paid as a service as it goes use of its resources. One of the advantages of this model is the ease of transferring services or additional loads from the private to the public cloud of the same provider.

This year, significant global IT spending is expected by all DCs. In April 2018 experts forecasted an increase of 7% over last year. This is the highest annual growth in projections since 2007. In June, IDC said that in 2018, IT and telecommunications costs would grow by 4%. This is less than in 2017 but IDC cited tariff problems, trade wars and a weaker economy. The average companies spend on business operations and develop innovative methods of doing business 56% and 18% of the IT budget, respectively.

Specialists analyzed more than 400 large companies from different industries to understand what digital business means to them. The results of the research showed that the financial indicators depend on the application of new technologies and management techniques:

• companies that actively use technologies and new methods of management are on average 26% more profitable than their competitors;

• Organizations that invest heavily in digital technology, but pay little attention to management, have financial indicators 11% lower;

• more conservative companies that improve only management, receive plus 9% of profit, but can potentially acquire by digital technology three times as much;

• those who have not yet chosen a development strategy have negative financial indicators compared to other market players - minus 24%.
