Russia started mass production of Elbrus-804 servers
Concern Avtomatika started mass production of Russian high-performance Elbrus 804 servers. The devices are designed to build computing clusters, work with applications and databases. Consumers of new technology will be state institutions and strategic industries, where information protection issues are particularly relevant.
The newest server with a peak computing power of 920 gigaflops was created by Russian developers and is mass-produced in Russia. It is based on four 8-core Elbrus-8C processors of the Russian development and the domestic certified Elbrus operating system, which guarantees the absence of hidden bookmarks for data theft and unauthorized interference with the equipment.
A distinctive feature of the device is the secure computing technology built into Elbrus processors, which has no analogues. It eliminates incorrect access of programs to the data in memory, which can lead to their damage and open up opportunities for hacker attacks in systems of other producers.
This is the first all-Russian software and hardware equipment of this performance level. It is competitive in its characteristics, its absolute advantage is a high level of power of attorney and security. The computing power of the server allows to create large state computer systems on the Elbrus platform, and the use of secure computing technology will ensure their resistance to cyber attacks and a high degree of reliability.
The Elbrus-804 server is the most high-performance server based on the Russian Elbrus processor. The server's maximum computing power is 460 gigaflops of double precision and 920 gigaflops of single precision. The device supports the installation of up to 256 GB of RAM, the entire amount of which is available to each of the 32 cores. SATA 3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet controllers are built into the server. The main server operating system is the Russian Linux distribution (OS Elbrus). Alos, there is developing own operating system for the server.
