Information security based on the use of VPN service
As a frequently used data privacy tool, VPNs are encryption tools that redirect user traffic to remote servers managed by a company or VPN service provider. The goal is to encrypt information and protect it from hackers, government agencies and other prying eyes on the Internet.
Malware is software that disrupts or changes the performance of the device on which it is installed. The user simply clicks on the link and gets a virus, trojan or worm. The viruses further infect other files on the computer, they are also used to steal data. Worms perform various malicious tasks on the network. The Trojan program looks harmless, users download it themselves, not knowing the possible consequences. There are also software programs that block device data or monitor user actions. DDoS attacks include attempts to demolish the server system in order to make a particular offer or service unavailable.
Take care of passwords
Do not put too easy passwords. Hackers can easily crack simple passwords, for example, “123456”, “qwerty123” or your name, birthday, etc. For each site create your own unique password. Try to mix letters, numbers and special characters in it.
Two-factor authentication
This method is to prompt the user for more than one password required to access his account. For example, the password from the personal account and SMS password.
No public information
Be careful about what you yourself publish on sites, including social networks. Attackers can use any information, starting with an e-mail address to bank data.
HTTPS in priority
Look at the hypertext transfer protocol of sites that you usually visit in the browser row. Using the secure hypertext transfer protocol (HTTPS) is much safer because the connection between the user and the page is encrypted.
Try to avoid using public Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi in the library and train station is definitely a public good. However, be very careful, as these networks are more actively cracked by hackers.
