Readiness of employees for digital transformation in the company

Trust to the staff contributes to direct savings in corporate spending, as well as strengthening the image of companies: in companies with a digital workspace, 20% of software for solving business problems is bought and installed by employees themselves; employees of these companies are eight times more likely to recognize their companies as an attractive place to work, and their employers are twice as often called leaders in the field of digitalization of business.

A study conducted in the autumn of 2017 with the support of VMware in the countries of the EMEA region is dedicated to the impact of the maturity of the work environment and employee culture on business, allowed analysts to divide the companies studied into three categories, but their numerical ratio was not called:

- companies with a traditional workspace - those that do not provide IT staff to effectively perform their work duties;

- companies with a transitional workspace - those that provide employees with the necessary applications, but do not provide them with convenient access;

- companies with digital workspace - those that provide employees with the necessary applications and ensure their availability always, everywhere and on any device.

Thus, 89% of the CIOs of the responded companies said that they would increase their companies' income by 5% in three years if they could provide the employees with the modern IT they needed. Employees who have convenient access to applications are three times more likely to claim time-savings for work assignments (which means higher adaptability of companies to the current dynamic market conditions). In companies with a digital workspace, 25% more employees are confident that their business applications reduce the company's costs. Based on this, it can be concluded that company employees and their willingness to innovate create a reserve for more efficient organization of the digital workspace.
