Citrix Systems preparing new infrastructure solutions

As follows from the new functionality of Citrix Systems products, the company sees the main centers of application of its efforts in developing technologies that affect the transformation of workplaces and data centers. Thus, the NetScaler Management & Analytics System (MAS) solution released in May includes tools for collecting and analyzing event data in the entire IT infrastructure of the customer.

NetScaler SD WAN is useful for optimizing the state of the channels between the central office and the branches of the companies or for communication between the sites of data center. The solution practically eliminates the need to build dedicated communication channels, while retaining the opportunity to take advantage of existing connections, including ADSL and 4G channels, which, in case of emergency communications, ensures the operation of the most important business applications.

New features of system resource management

Innovations have appeared in the solution for managing the working environment of the user Workspace Environment Management, designed to deliver the services of XenApp and Desktop. Now this solution allows you to free unreasonably occupied computing resources after closing applications, which makes it possible to use about 70% of server capacity at the disposal of server applications.

Innovations in Workspace Environment Management allow you to detect in the corporate IT environment, workable, but not meeting the higher requirements of new OS computers, register them as thin clients. At the same time, the capabilities of the OS installed on these computers are accordingly limited in such a way that users can only undergo registration procedures on them and then enter the necessary computing environment built on a virtual infrastructure. These capabilities extend the life cycle of equipment that can support workplaces, while at the same time reducing the costs of servicing obsoleted equipment.
