Market prices for IPv4 ranges in 2018

If you or your company needs IPv4 resources what options do you have? There are 2 basic options. Many choose leasing IPv4 addresses routed on a server in many data centers all around the world. It is the most simple, fast and cheapest way of getting this resource if you need tenant networks. But such option makes you dependent on the policy of RIR, LIR, or data center itself.

 The second option is more expensive and takes more time to be completed but more reliaeble. You can ask for the IPv4 range in any region: AFRINIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC, RIPE NCC. According to RIR`s policy you an ask for allocation of additional resources, but today the maximum you will receive is /22 per 1 company. In this case you need to provide requested documents prooving your legal name and country you are doing business in and at least 2 upsteams who are ready to provide peering for your company.

 If you are looking for bigger range your only way is to find company whch has unused IPv4 and ready to trannsfer it to you. You need to keep in mind that transfers mostly allowed in one region. According to IP auctions price for range differs in every region:
- 10-13 EUR per IP in RIPE NCC
- 11-13 EUR per IP in LACNIC
- 17-19 EUR per IP in AFRINIC
- 14-17 EUR per IP in APNIC
- 15-17 EUR per IP in ARIN

Prices are constantly growing because as global providers as well in regional or local are not ready to start using IPv6. Maybe now IANA will start to exclude /8 ranges from organisations which are not using allocated to them addreses. This may reduce the IPv4 price but not for long.
