The DNS server is not responding. Check your IP address settings

Each site on the Internet has a unique address. For the user, it is presented in the form of a meaningful set of letters, for example, yandex.ru, but the global network uses a digital value to denote web resources. It is called an IP address and it may look like this: 176.108.10.5.

Of course, it’s more convenient for users to remember letters than numbers, so there is a DNS server that is responsible for translating the IP address into characters and vice versa. And if, when accessing the page, the text "DNS server does not respond" appears, then the user’s request was not correctly translated.

Reasons for the appearance

The reasons why this error occurs can be of two varieties:

1. The problem is on the side of the provider: it is possible that the DNS server is unavailable, the power was cut off, technical work is being carried out, etc.

2. The problem is on the user side: the Internet is disconnected, the parameters of the router are reset, problems with the drivers, etc.

A DNS error may also occur due to problems on the working computer. Let's talk about one of the methods that allows you to fix the error.

Also, a problem may arise on the side of the Internet service provider. When the message "DNS server is not responding" appears, first of all you need to contact your Internet service provider and describe the problem. If the provider carries out technical work or problems are observed in the area of ​​your residence, you will be informed about this and, if necessary, the time interval will be announced, during the Internet connection will be restored.
