UK is planning to provide warship to protect submarine internet cables
The Royal Navy of the UK in the coming years will receive a special purpose vessel at the coming years, whose main task will be to ensure the integrity of the infrastructure of underwater Internet cables. The United Kingdom Ministry of Defense expresses concerns that cables can be the goal of attacks of other states.
Damage to the underwater Internet infrastructure can turn into colossal damage. Such communications among other things serve for the daily implementation of financial transactions for trillions of US dollars.
