The Excellence Data Architecture Design Award is given to Datacenter.com
Datacenter.com, a worldwide producer of the cloud data services has won an excellence prize from the European Datacloud for its unique data architecture facilities design due to its exceptional security and storage possibilities.
The awarded data cloud center is located in Amsterdam, Netherlands - AMS1. It is extraordinary and innovatively equipped to prevent any potential damages of data storage equipment. Its ultramodern design is uncommon in terms of specific setting of the cooling facilities that allows reducing the operational expenses and sustain power storage infrastructure solutions.
The general idea is to contribute to the hot air consumption providing the improved storage capacities for the clients of the cloud services. The installed air circulation of around 2-5m/s allows reaching the valuable rate pPUE 1.04 and gives an innovation advantage for the company on the market.
As stated by its CEO, to achieve the highest possible flexibility, as well as durability along the storage equipment capacities of AMS1 the data hall setup is using the small-scale cooling systems smartly designed in a way to absorb the hot air. The hot air containments used at the ultramodern Datacentre’s facility are the customizable units provided by Schneider Electric. It is particularly interesting because the system avoids the application of any special compressors in its composition that could increase its cooling capacities. The technology allows separating the air flows and avoids its mixing thus, providing the best storage functioning conditions at the same time multiplying the cooling abilities of the storage centers.
Besides that its capacities are empowered through the renewable energy resources and 2N redundancy makes the data storage service highly available for the customers of Datacentre.com to explicitly address their needs.
