The choice of VPS location directly affects the response time of the site

It is difficult to imagine the life of a modern person without a computer and the world wide web, where we all have fun, learn, learn useful and interesting information and, of course, earn. And for the successful operation of sites and resources, regardless of their scale, high-quality web hosting is required. Hosting is a powerful computer with a large amount of memory with access to the World Wide Web and without a monitor, since it is simply not needed. On such servers and placed all the sites and resources, along with all the content. Important characteristics of the hosting are the amount of memory, processor power, smooth operation and server response time.

Server response time, or server response time, is one of the most important characteristics of any hosting that all web developers are looking for when searching for wordpress hosting or other content management systems. It is this characteristic that allows you to find out the performance of the server (hosting) on which the resource is located. So what is the server response time? This is the time spent on the passage of a particular packet of information sent by the user's browser to the server and the time it takes to return the packet back to the user's computer.

Illustrating such a thing as server response time, you can present the following picture. The user's computer sends a greeting to the server in the form of the address of the desired page of the site. The server in turn sends a certain code, depending on the reality and the available requested page. If a page is found on the server, the requested page is loaded. If such a page does not exist or is not available at the moment, the user will see in his browser a message that the site cannot be loaded and the error code is 404. The time of the above exchange and is the response time of the server.

The server response time shows how quickly the user sees the desired page of the site, which is not a small influence on the popularity of the entire site, since hardly anyone will like the resources that are loaded long and tedious. Therefore, many web-developers, selecting hosting for joomla or hosting for other CMS, always pay attention to ping. Since the response time is still time, it is therefore measured in standard time units - milliseconds (1 second is 1000 milliseconds).

As a rule, free or cheap hosting is unlikely to boast a high download speed, so each webmaster chooses the best option for himself. Of course, the slower the response rate of the server, the better. This characteristic is affected by the power characteristics of the hosting itself, as well as the workload of the channels throughout the section from the user to the server.
